Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is a slow-evaporating, hydrophobic glycol ether with excellent surface tension-lowering ability and coalescing properties.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether has a near mid-range balance of hydrophobic and hydrophilic characteristics and offers significant water solubility.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is one of our most efficient coalescents in water-borne latex systems.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is a colorless liquid with a mild odor and low volatility.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether has low water solubility, good coupling, and demonstrates good solvency for coating resins.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is ideal for coatings, inks, textiles, cleaners, agricultural products, and adhesives.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is widely used in paint, cleaning agents, ink, leather, and other aspects.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether can be used instead of an alcohol solvent such as ethylene glycol butyl ether during the dye’s dissolution process.

In addition, Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether also can be used as coating film forming additives, sensitive adhesive, PS version cleaning, printing, electronic chemicals, jet fuel additives (water repellent), extraction solvent, and high boiling point solvents.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether has both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is miscible with various other solvents. Due to its molecular weight and plasticizing effect, dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is, for example, an excellent film-forming agent.

Due to its evaporation and spreading characteristics, dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is highly suitable for application in cleaning agents.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether combines several properties that contribute to very high latex film quality:

1) high polymer plasticizing efficiency

2) large molecular size and, therefore, more outstanding polymer mobility contribution

3) robust partitioning to the polymer phase

4) relatively slow evaporation rate.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is compatible with many different resin types.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether also provides excellent surface tension-lowering ability and helps clean products or when blended with products.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is used alone in cold metal cleaning; it is a suitable solvent for removing oils and greases.

This product is an excellent choice for coatings applications, providing outstanding coalescing and film properties.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is used in surface coatings, leather, pesticides, electrical, industrial cleaners, resins, and printing inks.

Dipropylene glycol n-butyl ether is used as a coupling agent (degreasers, paint removers, metal cleaners, and hard surface cleaners), coalescent (latex coatings), solvent (water-reducible coatings), and chemical intermediate (epoxides, acid ester derivatives, solvents, and plasticizers)
