While a pure gum vulcanization of styrene-butadiene has a tensile strength of no more than 2 MPa and negligible abrasion resistance, compounding it with 50% Hostajet Black Opt (Carbon Black) by weight improves its tensile strength and wear resistance as shown in the table below.Hostajet Black Opt (Carbon Black) is used often in the aerospace industry in elastomers for aircraft vibration control components such as engine mounts.Practically all rubber products where tensile and abrasion wear properties are important use Hostajet Black Opt (Carbon Black), so they are black in color. Where physical properties are important but colors other than black are desired, such as white tennis shoes, precipitated or fumed silica has been substituted for Hostajet Black Opt (Carbon Black). Karbon siyah(is karas), geleneksel olarak tahta veya kemik gibi organik malzemeleri yakarak üretilen, yaygn olarak kullanlan siyah pigmenttir.Tamamen karbondan oluur ve görünür k bandnda hiç k yaymadndan siyah gözükür.Gaz veya sv haldeki karbonlu hidrojenlerden ksmi yanma, termik parçalanma veya her iki türlü elde edilen ince dalm yapsal olarak grafite benzeyen karbon taneciklerine “Karbon siyah(is karas)” ad verilir. Geri kazanm ilemi sonucunda lastik miktarnn %25-30 kadar (ileme giren lastiin cinsine göre) karbon siyah olarak geri kazanlr. Karbon siyah günümüzde birçok sanayi kolunda temel hammadde veya katk maddesi olarak kullanlmaktadr. u anda ihtiyacn tamam yurt dndan ithalat yoluyla karlanmaktadr. Karbon siyah yapsna ve kullanm oranna bal olarak kauçuk bazl maddelerin dayanklln ve rengini gelitirmekte, genel performansn arttrmaktadr. Piroliz ilemi sonucu ortaya çkan karbon siyah piyasa karbon siyahna kyasla çok daha ekonomik olduu için belli üretim dallarnda dolgu ve katk malzemesi olarak kullanlmaya çok uygundur.Kauçuk endüstrisinde katk maddesi olarak kullanlan Karbon Siyah (aktif karbon) otomobil lastii, makine parçalar, kablo, tayc bantlar, hortum, topuk ve taban lastii yapmnda; Boya maddesi olarak kullanlan Karbon Siyah ise renk verici olarak siyahl salamak amacyla vernik, plastikler, matbaa mürekkebi, boya, siyah kat, kaplamalar, litografik ve klie mürekkepleri, daktilo eridi ve karbon kad yapmnda kullanlmaktadr.Karbon siyahnn kullanld deiik sanayi kollarndan bazlar: Kablo, Konveyör bant, Tayc bantlar, Hortum, Paspas, Siyah poet, Kauçuk hamurla karm, Araba yedek parçalar, Is yaltm, Kauçuk, plastik malzemelerde, Yangn söndürme vb.Karbon siyah daha çok kauçuk hamurlarda mekanik özellikleri gelitirmek , sertlii arttrmak ve siyah rengi vermek için kullanlr.Karbon siyah ileri seviye kontrol edilen proseslerle üretilen kat karbon formlarna verilen addr. Her ikisinde de nihai amaç hidrokarbonlarn karbon ve hidrojen bileenlerine kadar parçalanmasdr.Karbon siyah (karbon karas) hangi metot ile üretildiine bal olarak farkl partikül, agrega ve aglomera boyutuna sahip olur. Bu farkl boyutlara bal olarak da adlandrmas yaplr.Günümüzde Karbon siyah (karbon karas / aktif karbon) üretimi genel olarak doal gaz, petrol rafinerileri üretim tortular, etilen damtma tesisleri tortusu ve demir-çelik sektörü için metalürjik kok üretimi yan ürünü kömür katran ve/veya bunlardan üretilen hammadde karmlar ile yaplyor.Karbon siyah (karbon karas / aktif karbon) emici özellii oldukça yüksek. Bu yüzden temizlik malzemelerinde kir tutucu olarak kullanlyor ve normal bir temizlik ürününe göre iki kat daha fazla hijyen salyor. Bu metod günümüzde hala karbon siyah üretiminde kullanlmaktadr.Temel olarak Karbon siyah(is karas), Hidrokarbonlarn termal veya termal oksidasyon ayrtrma metodlaryla karbon ve hidrojen bileenlerine parçalanmasyla elde edilir.Karbon siyah üretildii yönteme göre adlandrlmaktadr.Her üretim metodu ve kullanlan malzeme ortaya çkan karbon siyah yapsna ( partikül boyutu, agrega ve aglomera uzunluklar ) etki etmektedir.Karbon siyah ilk olarak üretildikleri sisteme göre ve sonuç olarak sahip olduklar özelliklere göre adlandrlmtr. N: Normal Cure , S: Slow Cure olarak verilmi, kauçuklarn “Cure” ( iyiletirme) proseslerinde karbon siyah uygunluu için verilmitir.Aada iki örnek verilmitir. N330 Karbon Siyah : Önceki kodlamaya göre HAF Karbon Siyah grubuna girmektedir. / N770 Karbon Siyah : SRF Karbon Siyah (aktif karbon) grubuna girmektedir.N330 ve N770 Karbon siyah plastik sektöründe kullanlan en yaygn karbon siyah gruplardr.Karbon Siyahn (aktif karbon) Kullam Amac: Karbon siyah arlkl olarak teker ve kauçuk sektörlerinde kullanlr.Dolgu malzemesi olarak kullanlan Karbon Siyah, tekerde malzemin güçlendirlimesi, anma dayanm ve yolda sürtünmeden kaynaklanan snn tutulmas amaçl kullanlr.Böylelikle tekerin ömrünün uzun tutulmas salanr.Karbon Siyah ayn zamanda iyi bir iletkendir.Statik elektriklenmenin istenilmedii, araba benzin kapa veya yakt borular gibi ürünlerde tercih edilir.Karbon siyah plastik sektöründe de arlkl olarak kullanlmaktadr. Karbon siyah, plastik ürünlerde siyah boyama amaçl tercih edilebilmektedir. Karbon siyah çeidine göre farkl tonlarda ürüne siyah renk verebilmektedir. Karbon siyah, plastik ürünlerde, teker yapsnda olduu gibi, ürüne mukavemet açsndan güçlendirici dolgu (filler) olarak katlmaktadr. Renk dnda, karbon siyahn plastik sektöründe kullanlmasnn en önemli amaçlarndan bir dieri de , karbon siyahn iyi bir “UV Absorber” olmasdr. Bilindii üzere plastik ürünler güne nlarna maruz kaldklarnda, plastik yapsnda balarda olan hasarlar nedeniyle hem renk solmas hem de mukavemet açsndan ürünün bozulmas (photo degradation) ortaya çkmaktadr. Bu bakmdan, ürünün içerisinde muhtemel bulunan karbon siyah tanecekleri, güneden gelen UV nlar tutarak ( absorbe ederek), nlarn plastiin yapsn bozmasnn önüne geçilmektedir.Karbon siyahn UV korumas plastik sektörü için çok önemli kullanm amaçlarndan biridir. Burada dikkat edilmesi gereken nokta, farkl karbon siyahlar çeitlerinin farkl UV Koruma özelliklerinin bulunmasdr. Bu konuda en önemli parametrelerden biri, karbon partikül boyutudur. Ortalama karbon partikül boyutu küçüldükçe, karbon siyahn UV Koruma kabiliyeti artmaktadr.Karbon siyah çeidi seçilirken, ürünün ne kadar güne nlarna maruz kalaca göz önünde bulunarak bir tercih yaplmaldr.Unutulmamas gereken bir nokta da, farkl karbon siyah renk tonlarnn partikül boyutuna göre deiiklik salayabileceidir.Karbon siyah üründe salayaca UV koruma y etkileyen dier önemli bir parametre de, karbon siyah nn ürün içerisindeki dalmdr.Karbon siyah ürün içerisinde ne kadar homojen datlrsa, güne nlarn yakalama o kadar baarl olacak, dolaysyla o derece UV Koruma salanlacaktr.Bir karbon siyahnn ürün içerisinde mevcut üretim teknikleri ile iyi dispersiyon kabiliyeti, 2 parametreye baldr.Karbon partikül boyutu küçüldükçe,karbon siyahn iyi datlmas zorlaacaktr.
