TETRAMETHYLTHIURAM MONOSULFIDE

Table of Contents

TETRAMETHYLTHIURAM MONOSULFIDE

Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide is a non-staining, non-discoloring, fast-curing secondary accelerator with excellent storage stability.

Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide can be used alone or in combination with other NR, SBR, NBR, Butyls, Neoprene, and Reclaim Rubber accelerators.

Tetramethylthiuram sulfide, also called TMTM or Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide, is an organosulfur compound with the formula ((CH3)2NCS)2S.
Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide is a yellow solid that is soluble in organic solvents.
Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide is used as an activator in the sulfur vulcanization of natural and butyl rubbers.
Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide is used as an accelerator and activator in the processing of natural rubbers and butyl rubbers.
Tetramethyl thiuram monosulfide is used in manufacturing cables, tires, rubber hoses, belts, brilliant and transparent products, rubber shoes, and products resistant to heat, among other things.
Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide is widely used in the agricultural industry to protect crops from fungal diseases and in the rubber industry to accelerate the vulcanization process.
Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide provides excellent processing safety while still allowing for high cure activity.
Unlike the thiuram disulfides, Tetramethylthiuram monosulfide will not produce cures without added elemental sulfur.
