Tylose CER 409001 is a water-soluble, non-ionic methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose powder with standard etherification. It displays good plasticity and temperature stability as well as moderate thickening and binding effects. This grade of methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (MHEC) is particularly well-suited for use in ceramic coatings – such as engobes and glazes – and extrusion applications.Tylose CER 409001 is a hydroxyethyl cellulose powder recommended for use in interior paints, solid paints, exterior paints, silicon resin paints, tinters, glazes, and gloss effect top coats.Tylose CER 409001 is a water-soluble, non-ionic hydroxyethyl cellulose powder with standard etherification. It displays high gloss appearance, pigment compatibility, and water retention, and moderate anti-spattering properties, pseudoplasticity, thickening effects, and wet scrub resistance. This grade of hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is particularly well-suited for use in silicate and solid paint applications.Tylose CER 409001 Provides effects like thickening, pseudoplastic properties, water retention, protective colloid effects, film forming and a high level of salt tolerance. Offers high gloss and pigment compatibility, very high water retention, good anti-spattering, low thickening effect and pseudoplasticity. Exhibits moderate wet scrub resistance. Used for paints and coatings applications like interior paints, solid paints, tinters, silicate paints, distempers, glazes, limewash paints, silicon resin paints, and cement paints.Tyloses are outgrowths on parenchyma cells of xylem vessels of secondary heartwood. When the plant is stressed by drought or infection, tyloses will fall from the sides of the cells and “dam” up the vascular tissue to prevent further damage to the plant.Tyloses can aid in the process of making sapwood into heartwood in some hardwood trees, especially in trees with larger vessels.These blockages can be used in addition to gum plugs as soon as vessels become filled with air bubbles, and they help to form a stronger heartwood by slowing the progress of rot.The role of phenolic compounds in strengthening resistance of grapevine to young grapevine decline was analysed. The formation of tyloses has also been associated with this disease. A microscopic study showed that tyloses originated in parenchyma cells associated with the xylem and from there invaded the xylem lumen.
