DIOCTYLDIMETHYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE (DODAC)
The Quat with unusual and exiting performance characteristics.
Lowest tendency to foam.
Broad spectrum of biocidal activity against both gram positive and gram negative organisms.
Algaestatic and algaecidal performance at economical use concentrations.
Toxicological and ecological documentation.
Dioctyl dimethyl ammonium chloride is composed of twin chain dimethyl ammonium chloride.
The dioctyl dimethyl structure provides a controlled foam biocide, exhibiting low, fast breaking foam with exceptional dynamic controlled foam performance.
When used as an active ingredient in FIFRA1 registered formulations such as hard surface disinfectants, sanitizers and/or certain types of water treatment formulations, these products have been found to provide superior biotical action against a broad spectrum of microbial organisms such as: bacteria, fungi, viruses, and algae.
This “third” generation quaternary ammonium compound delivers potent germicidal action in hard water and organic soil loads.
