DTPMP (Diethylene Triamine Penta Methylene Phosphonic Acid) (Di Etilen Triamin Penta Metilen Fosfonik Asit);
This product is excellent corrosion – scale inhibitor for cyclic cooling water and boiler water. It is particularly suitable to be used in base cyclic cooling water as not-changing pH scale – corrosion inhibitor and can be used as scale – corrosion inhibitor in oilfield filling water, cooling water, boiler water which has high barium carbonate content. It also can be used as stablizer of germicide of chlorine dioxide. The scale deposition would be still very little even if using this product alone without adding dispersant.

This product is water-soluable. It has good effect of scale inhibiting to calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate and barium sulfate; especially to calcium carbonate even though in base solution (PH 10~11). It take on two unique performances:
(1). Although in base solution (PH10-11), it yet keep good effect of scale inhibiting to calcium carbonate which is 1~2 times higher than that of HEDP, ATMP.
(2). It has good effect of scale inhibiting to barium sulfate.
(3). It has better effect of corrosion inhibiting than HEDP, ATMP.
(4). It is stablizer of germicide of chlorine dioxide.

Phosphonates derived from phosphorous (phosphonic) acid are employed in the applications of scale Inhibition, sequestration, dispersion and corrosion inhibition in addition to the main applications of agricultural chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides, and soil conditioners. Chelation is a chemical combination with a metal in complexes in which the metal is part of a ring. Organic ligand is called chelator or chelating agent, the chelate is a metal complex. The larger number of ring closures to a metal atom is the more stable the compound. This phenomenon is called the chelate effect; it is generally attributed to an increase in the thermodynamic quantity called entropy that accompanies chelation. The stability of a chelate is also related to the number of atoms in the chelate ring. The molecular structure of the chlorophyll is similar to that of the heme bound to proteins to form hemoglobin, except that the latter contains iron(II) ion in the center of the porphyrin.
