Usage Areas of GLUCONIC ACID

Gluconic acid and its derivatives are used as medicines, in foods, as mineral supplements in cosmetics and as a component of various hygienic products. From gluconic acid, as a retarder and water reducer for concrete in the construction industry; As a separator for metal ions in the metal process; As a controller of heavy metal and water hardness in bottle washing; Is used as a separator for heavy metal ions in the textile industry. It is also used in metal cleaning for scouring, water softening, domestic and industrial cleaning compounds, paper and textile assistants.

Gluconic acid is produced from dextrose (glucose).
The tranformation of glucose to gluconic acid can be achieved with the aid of enzymes (glucose oxidase) or by fermentation with certain moulds.
With glucose, as with all products of starch saccharification, various applications of gene technology are possible.
Raw material: maize starch may consist partly of genetically modified maize, especially if the raw materials are imported out of the USA or Argentina. In some EU countries, genetically modified maize is grown on comparatively small areas and nonetheless is not used as raw material for foodstuff. This may change in the case that the cultivation of GM maize increases in significance. Ingredients derived from several types of GM maize are approved in the EU.
Enzymes solubilise plant starch and metabolise it into compounds that are classified as ingredients and additives. Several of these enzymes, such as amylases, glucose-isomerase and pullulanase (used in starch saccharification) are produced with help of GM microorganisms.

GLUKONK ASTN KULLANIM ALANLARI

Glukonik asit ve türevleri ilaçlarda, gdalarda, kozmetiklerde mineral destekleri olarak ve çeitli hijyenik ürünlerin bir bileeni olarak kullanlrlar. Glukonik asitten, inaat endüstrisinde beton için bir geciktirici ve su azaltc olarak; metal prosesinde metal iyonlar için bir ayrc olarak; ie ykamada ar metal ve su sertliinin bir kontrol edicisi olarak; tekstil endüstrisinde ar metal iyonlar için bir ayrc olarak yararlanlmaktadr. Ayrca metal temizlemede pul uzaklatrm için, su yumuatmada, evsel ve endüstriyel temizlik bileiklerinde, kat ve tekstil yardmclarnda da kullanlmaktadr.

Glukonik asit dekstrozdan (glikoz) üretilir.
Glükozun glukonik aside dönüümü, enzimlerin (glükoz oksidaz) yardm ile veya belirli kalplarla fermantasyon yoluyla salanabilir.
Glikoz ile, niasta sakarifikasyonunun tüm ürünlerinde olduu gibi, gen teknolojisinin çeitli uygulamalar da mümkündür.
Hammadde: msr niastas ksmen genetik olarak modifiye edilmi msrdan oluabilir, özellikle hammaddeler ABD veya Arjantin’den ithal edildiyse. Baz AB ülkelerinde, genetii deitirilmi msr, nispeten küçük alanlarda yetitirilmekle birlikte, gda maddeleri için ham madde olarak kullanlmamaktadr. GM msr yetitiriciliinin önemi arttkça bu durum deiebilir. Çeitli GM msr türlerinden türetilmi içerikler AB’de onaylanmtr.
Enzimler, bitki niastasn çözünür hale getirir ve bileen ve katk maddeleri olarak snflandrlan bileikler haline metabolize olur. Amilazlar, glukoz-izomeraz ve pullulanaz (niasta ekerlendirmesinde kullanlan) gibi bu enzimlerin birçou GM mikroorganizmalar yardmyla üretilir.
