TALLOW AMINE 2 EO

TALLOW AMINE 2 ETHOXYLATE is a nonionic surfactant used in agricultural formulations. It can be used alone or in combination with other surfactants.

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is a solubilizer, wetting agent, anti-corrosive, and adjuvant.

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is used primarily as an emulsifier and wetting agent for agrochemical formulations, such as pesticides and herbicides (e.g. glyphosate).

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is a Glyphosate Formulation Adjuvant in the agriculture industry.

Polyoxyethylene tallow amine (POEA) is added to formulations of glyphosate, the most widely applied agricultural herbicide

The polyethoxylated tallow amine used as a surfactant is referred to in the literature as MON 0139 or polyoxyethylene amine (POEA).

It is contained in the herbicide Roundup.

An ethoxylated tallow amine (CAS No. 61791-26-2), is on the United States Environmental Protection Agency List 3 of Inert Ingredients of Pesticides

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate can be combined unreservedly with nonionic and other cationic surface-active substances.

Compatibility with anionic products must, however, be checked in each case.

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is mainly resistant to most chemicals in the standard application concentrations and are

practically indifferent to hard water.

The specific surface-active properties of Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate make it a valuable raw material and mixing component for the chemical technological

industry.

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is suitable, e.g., for manufacturing dyeing and other textile auxiliaries, mineral oil additives, crop protection products, pesticides, cosmetic starting materials, and bonding agents, details of which are beyond the scope of this datasheet.

Tallow Amine 2 Ethoxylate is essential in the Oil and gas, Crop Solutions, and textile processing markets.

Production of TALLOW AMINE 2 ETHOXYLATE:

The surface-active tallow fatty amine 2 ethoxylate is obtained by ethylene oxide on saturated and unsaturated C16-C18 fatty amine.

As a result of the addition of ethylene oxide to the fatty amine, dihydric alcohols with terminal hydroxyl groups are produced.

Under suitable conditions, further reactions to these are possible.

Storage

Tallow amine 2 ethoxylate can be stored for at least to 2 years in original sealed containers at room temperature under the

recommended conditions.

Protect from exposure to

The properties of tallow fatty amine 2 ethoxylate are reversibly altered by exposure to cold.

If tallow amine 2 ethoxylate becomes turbid, thickens, or freezes through exposure to cold, thaw slowly at room temperature and afterward stir briefly.
