TETD Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide is an accelerator suitable for most sulfur-cured elastomers.

Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide acts as both an accelerator and a vulcanizing agent in low sulfur and sulfurless stocks.

Its low melting point provides excellent dispersion in soft compounds.

Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide is used as a cure modifier for polychloroprene.

Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide provides better processing safety than TMTD with less blooming.

Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide belongs to the class of thiuram rubber vulcanization accelerators.

Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide has fast scorch and fast vulcanization speed and belongs to the Overspeed vulcanization accelerator.

Although The vulcanization flatness is small, Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide can obtain vulcanized rubber with high tensile strength, tensile strength and hardness.

Therefore, Tetraethylthiuram Disulfide can be used as a vulcanization accelerator or a sulfur-free vulcanizing agent for Diene-based rubbers and for low Unsaturated rubbers.

Tetraethylthiuram disulfide (TETD) offers fast vulcanization and gives more scorch delay than TMTD.

When used in sulfur-less vulcanization and EV systems, tetraethylthiuram disulfide gives an excellent vulcanization plateau with good heat aging and compression set resistance.

In EPDM, Tetraethylthiuram disulfide is a valuable secondary accelerator.

Tetraethylthiuram disulfide gives excellent dispersions in soft compounds due to its low melting point.

Tetraethylthiuram disulfide is non-staining and non-discoloring; excellent colors are obtained in non-black vulcanizates.

It should be noted that in the application of Tetraethylthiuram disulfide, N-nitrosodimethylamine can be formed by reacting dimethylamine, a decomposition product, with nitrosating agents (nitrogen oxides).

Storage of Tetraethylthiuram disulfide (TETD)

Store TETD in a dry well, ventilated place away from foodstuffs.

No reduction in the assay of the active substance has been observed after storage for 2 years in the original packing under normal conditions.

Double stacking of palletized material can result in unusual compaction of the product.

Protect against acids and substances liberating acids.

In accidental spillage, the spilled product should be collected for incineration.

Notify the appropriate authorities immediately if there is any risk of contamination of watercourses.
